Franz Liszt - “Après une lecture de Dante: Fantasia quasi Sonata”

Performed at the University of Chile Concert Hall on November 14, 2024, as part of Vedrana’s ongoing engagement as Visiting Professor there. Drawing on Dante’s Divine Comedy, this touchstone of Romantic virtuoso repertoire moves from a stormy, tritone laced opening through episodes of lyrical transcendence.

  • Robert Schumann - Kreisleriana, Op. 16, No. 1 (“Äußerst bewegt”)

Performed live on August 3, 2026 at the Intermezzo season finale, this opening movement channels Schumann’s fictional alter ego Kapellmeister Kreisler. Marked “extremely animated,” it moves between turbulent, restless outbursts and the more lyrical passages found later in the cycle.
